A Victorian terrace in central Oxford. Particularly interested in swap with central New York apartment but any scenic or exciting locations considered. My husband and I live on a quiet side street that is situated on the hipper side of town, to the East of the centre. Groovy cafes, friendly quaint pubs, the river Thames and the University Sport's ground (site of Roger Bannister's 4 minute mile)are all within 5 minutes walk of our place. To get to the beautiful colleges and dreaming spires walk for 10 minutes from our house and you're there in the heart of the city. Bus stop for buses going to central London (50 miles away) every 10 minutes 24 hours a day is a 10 minutes walk from our house, so you can have a chilled base to explore the capital too!
We have a small front garden. The ground floor consists of an open plan living room (29 square metres appox) with fire place with original exposed floorboards that is light and spacious. It leads to a well equipped, galley style kitchen (tiny washroom and larder attached) and then out to a small conservatory and modest sized garden. Upstairs is a large bathroom and two good sized bedrooms. We only use one for sleeping in and the other is a studio/ study that can double up as a spare room for 2 more guests(have bedding). It's a cosy, tasty house in a great spot!

Family of 2 Adults |
| I am a full time teacher of Adult Literacy. My husband is a musician and also supports adults with learning difficulties. We love film, music, art and visiting new places (urban and cultural, rural and beautiful). We used to live in central London but now prefer living here in Oxford as all places are within easy reach on bike or foot and lots of nice open spaces and a more relaxed lifestyle but London still right there if we want it! |
