Our house is located in a town called Colombes, which
is 15 minutes by train from the center of Paris (Gare St.
Lazare). It is a 3 bedroom/ 2 bathroom house with a small
garden and patio. There is also a sleeper-sofa in the
living room. The house is very sunny and cheerful, with
all of the creature-comforts of an American home-- washer/ dryer, dishwasher, cable, etc. We live 3 blocks from the train station which is a direct ride into Paris. We are a 10 minute walk to the main street, where there are bakeries, grocery stores, clothing
boutiques and a cinema. There is also a bakery on the corner of our street, as well as a 'farmers market' one street over which sells fresh produce, cheese, etc. every Wednesday and Saturday morning.
Our house would be perfect for a family traveling with
children, a couple or two couples traveling on a budget, or
anyone wanting to experience 'typical' life in France
(rather than as a tourist in a hotel in downtown Paris). |
